Sustainability

We take responsibility

We want to put our company on a sustainable footing and operate sustainably. For us, this means:

The actions of our company and all employees should be orientated towards social, ecological and economic factors. In this way, it contributes to securing the future of our company and the world.

The expectations and wishes of our stakeholders play a major role here. They play a decisive role in determining our key sustainability issues. In addition, we analyse the impact of our company on the environment and people in our supply chains.

As part of the Würth Group, the path to a circular economy is fundamental for us. On the way there, these three areas of action are crucial for us:

Climatematerial cycles und social standards

‘As a trading company in the hydraulics industry, we focus on offering more sustainable products and optimising our processes in order to reduce our ecological footprint. We strive for partnerships that are committed to social and ecological engagement in order to generate a positive impact on people and the environment. We are convinced that sustainable developments are not only good for the environment and society, but also offer our customers and us long-term economic benefits.’

What we have achieved so far

UN Global Compact

Signing of the United Nations Global Compact

We have signed the United Nations Global Compact, thereby demonstrating that we are in favour of sustainable and responsible corporate governance. Specifically, we support 10 principles that apply to areas such as

  • Human rights
  • Labour rights
  • Environmental protection and
  • Prevention of corruption.

By signing up to them, we have committed ourselves to them and will report regularly on their fulfilment.

The UN Global Compact was launched in 2000 and is the world's largest sustainability initiative with more than 15,000 companies and 3,000 organisations in over 160 countries.

Sustainable Development Goals

We are guided by the SDG core goals

Global frameworks form the basis for our sustainability management, as they enable us to achieve standardised benchmarking.

Our alignment with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) is a significant contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

The core goals

  • Decent work and economic growth
  • Industry, innovation and infrastructure
  • Sustainable consumption and production
  • Climate protection measures

are of particular strategic relevance to us. They contribute significantly to the three action areas of climate, material cycles and social standards.
